How did you get into the beer industry? Why does beer matter to you?
From grain to glass, I have 17 years of experience as a professional brewer. Burmese by birth, I moved to Singapore as a teenager and has called Singapore home ever since. Formerly an architectural technologist in training, I started homebrewing out of passion and eventually got an apprenticeship to brew. The rest, as they say, is history! Currently I am the head brewer at Rye & Pint Brewery. I have been an international beer judge since 2013.
Why do you judge at the World Beer Cup? What does judging at the World Beer Cup mean to you?
The biggest international beer competition in the world, aka the Olympics of Beer! It is an honor to be judging at World Beer Cup. To share and gain knowledge, keep up to date on trends, make new friends and network, taste, and talk with like-minded people from all around the world with a passion for all things beer.
