How did you get into the beer industry? Why does beer matter to you?
My dad started a side business importing beer from England, including casks! I made several connections over the years across the pond, learned some tricks, and created a solid foundation before deciding to work full-time in the industry in 2014. I have worked for tiny breweries, very large breweries and all size in between. Beer matters to me because it’s a low-drama source of genuine enjoyment that engages my senses, rewards attention, softens mental noise, and doesn’t ask you to be anyone else.
Why do you judge at the World Beer Cup? What does judging at the World Beer Cup mean to you?
Judging at the World Beer Cup offers the opportunity to engage with amazing people from around the world, learn from their perspectives, and understand how their experiences shape perception, ultimately broadening my appreciation of beer. Being a judge means I get to participate in a global conversation about beer, that's cool!
What else would you like the world to know?
I’m a former baby… though my snack habits say otherwise.
