How did you get into the beer industry? Why does beer matter to you?
My first experience with craft beer was as a server in college. The stories of each of the styles and breweries were so intriguing, I had to know more. Since then I've worked on packaging lines, cellaring, brewing, directing operations for a small chain of brewpubs, and now teaching the Brewing and Fermentation Science certificate at Northern Arizona University.
Why do you judge at the World Beer Cup? What does judging at the World Beer Cup mean to you?
I look forward to the unique perspectives that the World Beer Cup judges will bring. Many of the BA recognized styles originated far away from the US, it seems fitting that judges should come from all over the world.
