Judges

How did you get into the beer industry? Why does beer matter to you?

I studied gastronomy because my grandmothers were traditional Mexican cooks. Along the way, wine pairings weren't enough for me. Then I discovered Belgian beers, thanks to a very wise cousin whom I pay tribute to today, as he has transcended time. I had a "Ratatouille" effect with a Maredsous Bruin. I couldn't have continued on my path without the wonderful, extrasensory moments this world has given me. Today, I am one of the first female beer and mead judges in Mexico, part of one of the most important women's collectives in Latin America, Adelitas Cerveceras Mexicanas. I am the co-founder of Grimorio El Fermentorio, a pioneering meadery in Mexico where my partner and I have been able to create new experiences for our consumers. Among the many things I could share about myself and my journey through this fermented world, I would like to continue having the opportunity to help others fall in love with it as well.

Why do you judge at the World Beer Cup? What does judging at the World Beer Cup mean to you?

It's a dream I promised myself I would fulfill. It's how I want to contribute to the brewing industry so it can continue to grow.

What else would you like the world to know?

Never forget how a good pairing can change the world :)
